Google's AI 'Help Me Schedule' Simplifies Meeting Setup

- Google adds AI powered scheduling feature to Gmail for quick one-on-one meeting setup
- The tool suggests available time slots based on calendar and email context
- Currently supports only one-on-one meetings, with group scheduling coming later
Google has introduced a new AI driven feature called 'Help me schedule' in Gmail to simplify booking meetings. Powered by its Gemini AI, the tool scans your calendar and suggests open time slots directly within your email. Recipients can then pick a suitable time, instantly creating a Google Calendar invite for both parties.
This feature is currently limited to one-on-one meetings but is expected to support group scheduling in the future. Users can access it through a 'Help me schedule' button below the compose window in Gmail. Once clicked, it displays available times, which can be edited before adding to the email. The AI also understands the conversation context, for example, if the email mentions needing a 30 minute meeting before next week, it prioritizes those specific time slots.
Google highlights that, compared to other scheduling tools like Calendly and Doodle, this feature is smarter thanks to its AI integration, making scheduling faster and more intuitive.
