Technologies That Were Huge Flops In 2014
Samsung’s another product hits the rug:
It is well agreed that Samsung has had a pretty rough year with many of their products losing a hold in the market. They tried to revive lost ground from the decline in sales of their mobile phones by releasing six variants of the smart watch. This move however did not benefit the company. None of the smart watch variants clicked in the market and it only sent their total revenue going crashing down by 60 percent. They are however still innovating their line of smart watches and hopefully 2015 will be the year of profits for them.
Amazon’s Phone on Fire:
Remember the time when smartphone companies were in the race to challenge Google Android one phone? A phone with all features but for a reasonable price to tackle the market holds of the high end smartphones? Well Amazon was in that race too. They came out with an Amazon phone called Fire Phone. Unfortunately, unlike the Kindle that Amazon patented, the Fire Phone seems to be on fire as it did not do well in the market. Honestly, there was much sales of the phone at all. The news on the phone died as fast as it came.
Twitter tweets loss:
Well this isn’t an actual tweet from Twitter but it is the condition of the social media that was doing pretty well a while back. This Twitter not only lost about 85 percent of their stocks, they also have been surpassed by Instagram with the number users. Well if Twitter can hold on for a while longer maybe they could just rise above the storm and earn back the stocks like Facebook did a few years back.
