Technologies That Could Destroy Human Life

This is a threat to the smallest of jobs like cooking. What if one of the functions of the glass addicts you and you forget to switch off the stove or lose control of what you are doing? So there is a threat of being harmed.

Nanobots: The idea of Nanotechnology has been rampant since the 80s and 90s with slight breakthrough in this present era.

It has been put to use to clean oil spills and also treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. When it was first administered using quantum dots made of cadmium selenide, used for disease detection, this was thought to be the cause of cadmium poisoning.

Since Nanobots are self replicating mechanisms there is fear of an ‘end of the world’ scenario where they consume all matter of earth, while building more of them.  So it will take high sophisticated containment facilities and state of the art tech to control them.

Artificial Intelligence: The world is moving to an ‘all computing’ age soon, so artificial intelligence will slowly be at the helm to control all the information. Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems that are able to perform the tasks that are only capable by human intelligence such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

Which pretty much becomes a threat to the role of a human intelligence which futurist believes will not be in the league of machine intelligence in a few decades to come. The Sci-fi movie, terminator and iRobot, depict the use of artificial intelligence to rule human life and destroy it.
