Concept: Ceramic, strong in nature but light in weight.

Ceramics are strong, heavy and brittle, tends to shatter. Scientist Julia Greer created a ceramic that is one of the strongest and lightest substances ever made. A ceramic that never shatters. If Greer’s plans turn true, they could replace composites and other materials used in a wide range of applications, because they’d be just as strong at a fraction of the weight. This metal is, literally, lighter than a feather. It can make for ultra light thermal insulation. The look back at this invent of Greer is how far Greer has to go in scaling up her methods? Till now she has not that much nano structures to cover a human palm. So the actualization of this dream project of Greer has far way to go over the brilliance it involves in its discovery.
3. Car to car Communication
Concept: Cars that can talk to each other to avoid crashes.
Availability: 3-5years
This wireless technology impedes collision between cars and is called car-to-car or vehicle-to-vehicle communication. It can be installed in cars in few years, so that cars broadcast their position, speed, steering-wheel position, brake status, and other data to other vehicles within a few hundred meters. This would help the other drivers to determine their route, speed and style. Self driving cars impose safety but the sensors and softwares get bamboozled by poor weather. In that case, networking cars together wirelessly is more impactful and has greater effect on road safety. The technology is also being tested in Europe and Japan.
