Tech Mahindra and Pegatron Join Forces for Global Enterprise 5G Solutions
Tech Mahindra and technology and electronics manufacturing leader Pegatron have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, unveiling plans to collaborate on private AI-enabled 5G solutions for global enterprises.
Harshvendra Soin, President - Asia Pacific and Japan Business at Tech Mahindra, expressed confidence in their ability to deliver IT and network services to Pegatron, leveraging Tech Mahindra's strong market presence, telecom connections, and expertise in global 5G4E rollout.
The partnership aims to harness a purpose-built private 5G product portfolio under Pegatron's 5G business unit, combined with Tech Mahindra's established proficiency in large-scale 5G transformations. Together, they plan to offer comprehensive 5G for Enterprise (5G4E) solutions tailored for global enterprises and manufacturing clients.
Dr. Shue, Chief Technology Officer at Pegatron, highlighted the collaboration's potential to unlock opportunities for enterprises worldwide. The joint effort aims to provide resilient and efficient network solutions with a focus on AI-led use cases, optimizing investments for businesses.
The partnership extends beyond product development, as the two companies will collaboratively identify opportunities on a global scale. Pegatron will contribute its expertise in providing the 5G connectivity layer, while Tech Mahindra will bring its capabilities to offer end-to-end 5G services. The initiative reflects a strategic move to capitalize on the growing demand for advanced 5G solutions in the global enterprise and manufacturing sectors.
