TAL Unveils India's First Ever Indigenous Robot
The venture targets the micro, small and medium enterprises functions within the Indian industry sector by offering affordable robotic solution starting at Rs 3 lakh (for 2 kg) to Rs 6 lakh (for a 10 kg payload). The company estimates that there are over 5,000 products being manufactured by Indian enterprises -from traditional business to high-tech products, which could utilize the robotic power of Brado to leverage productivity. Tapping on the huge market share that automation to grasp, TAL Manufacturing Solutions estimates that the Rs 9-lakh crore MSME industry is likely to double in the coming years. Ahead of its competitors like Nachi, Panasonic and Universal who has also started showcasing robots in India, Brabo would enjoy up top 35-40 percent cost advantage due to its localized offering.
India currently imports most robots for automation. Brado would reduce Indian market’s dependence of foreign robots. Besides working efficiently on hazardous jobs, they could also improve the intelligence standards of human resources. Bhingurde refers to the Make in India campaign as a new entry point. Brado could be regarded as one of the crowning achievements of the campaign. Telco Automation Limited (TAL) was formed in 2000 by merging two mother divisions of Tata Motors.
