- Samsung aims to reach 400 million devices with Galaxy AI by 2025
Samsung Electronics has expanded its Galaxy AI to support Gujarati and Filipino. With this update, the AI assistant now supports 22 languages, making communication and productivity easier for users across more regions.
Gujarati is the second Indian language added to Galaxy AI, after Hindi. The update allows native speakers to use popular features like Call Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and Browsing Assist in their language. Users can download the new languages via the Settings app.
The new language packs were developed with input from Samsung Research centers in India and Indonesia, ensuring accurate and natural language support. Giridhar Jakki, Senior Director at Samsung R&D Institute India, Bengaluru, said adding Gujarati is a significant step toward making AI accessible across India’s multilingual population.
Samsung highlighted that Galaxy AI adoption is growing rapidly. Over 70% of Galaxy S25 users globally use Galaxy AI features, with 91% of Indian users engaging with it regularly. This shows strong interest in AI-powered tools for daily tasks.
