Dulal Adhikari, a Kolkata Municipal Corporation Officer materialized his zeal for building plane models by creating a remote controlled pesticide-spraying machine. Fitted with a barometer, a compass and a gyrocontrol, this machine can be used to spray pesticide on agricultural land. Adhikari expects that this will act as a time savior. The manual three hour work of spraying pesticide can be executed in 10 to 12 minutes. Available at a cost of 40000, the machine can maintain altitude even in a stiff breeze.
