OpenAI Launches 'Your Year with ChatGPT' for Personalized Annual Recap
- Introduces Year in Review feature for Free, Plus, and Pro users
- Provides personalized awards and visually engaging recap of interactions
- Available in select English-speaking markets, including US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
OpenAI has rolled out ‘Your Year with ChatGPT’, a Year in Review feature that gives users a personalized look at their interactions with ChatGPT over the past year. The feature is designed to be fun and engaging, similar to Spotify’s Wrapped and YouTube’s Recap, showcasing highlights and assigning personalized awards based on usage patterns.
The feature is available to users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans, provided they have chat history and saved memories enabled and have reached a minimum level of conversation activity. Users on Team, Enterprise, or Education plans are not eligible. It can be accessed via both the web version of ChatGPT and mobile apps for iOS and Android.
When activated, the feature presents a visually appealing summary of the user’s ChatGPT interactions over the year. It highlights top conversations, usage trends, and engagement patterns, and gives users fun awards reflecting their activity. The feature is optional and only appears if users choose to engage with it, it is not displayed automatically.

Currently, the rollout is limited to select English-speaking countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Users in these regions are encouraged to check the home screen for the feature or try activating it by adding the “Your Year with ChatGPT” app and asking, “show me my year with ChatGPT”.
This initiative reflects OpenAI’s efforts to make user experiences more interactive and engaging, allowing users to reflect on how AI has been a part of their digital interactions throughout the year.
