India Blockchain Tour (IBT) 2025 began its fourth edition in Hyderabad, where over 1,000 developers, founders, investors, and policymakers gathered for a day of India's rapidly growing Web3 ecosystem exploration. Hosted by Octaloop, one of India's oldest crypto-native communities, the conference offered a vibrant mix of keynotes, panels, and product exhibits aimed at bridging the gap between technological advancements and mass adoption.

Hyderabad, popularly referred to as India's tech city, hosted insightful discussions of the potential of blockchain in real life, particularly in government, regulation, AI adoption, and digital inclusion. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Special Projects & Investment Cell, Government of Telangana, spoke about how blockchain is already being experimented with in public uses such as agricultural traceability, vehicle registration, and distant voting. He underlined that organizations such as IBT play a critical role in facilitating coordination among government agencies and new technologies.

Some of the high-profile sessions included discussing India's Web3 policy roadmap, blockchain-based security and public trust, and AI as a tool for societal good. The platform was utilized by Bybit and Bitget to share their vision for India. Bybit Country Manager Vikas Gupta emphasized the need to marry crypto adoption with education at the grassroots level, while Bitget South Asia head Jyotsna Hirdyani highlighted the need for transparency and ethical leadership in establishing trust throughout the ecosystem.

Anupam Varshney, Octaloop's founder, commended Hyderabad's turnout and participation, commenting that the city's dynamism was a key marker of India's leadership role in the international Web3 movement. With IBT's Hyderabad chapter having led the way, the roadshow proceeds to Ahmedabad before reaching its finale at Metamorphosis 2025, India's premier AI and Web3 conference, scheduled for New Delhi this September.
