New Technologies Announced In 'Railway Budget 2016' to Uplift Indian Railways

Indian railway which carries millions of travelers every day, the railway budget also takes into account the safety of commuters. The budget proposes to install CCTV cameras at platforms and reception premises at 331 Indian railway stations for the security of passengers and visitors. To ensure additional safety, the Indian railway is also planning to ally with foreign organizations to realize ‘Zero-Accident’ system in India. Also, passengers are needed to be updated with important messages on railway stations and for that, 20,000 screens will be installed at approximately 2000 railway stations. Most importantly, all 20,000 screens will be centrally connected so that every single message can be reached out to larger masses at an instance. The railway budget not only takes care of security of passengers but the entertainment also. Attractive LED-lit ad boards displaying ads vividly over pixels of TV screens, public announcement system echoing songs using FM radio stations on platforms, and vending machines are some of the developments proposed by the ‘Railway Budget 2016’ in terms of entertainment.
