The third edition of Illuminate, a leading public science and technology forum, is set to return with renewed vigour, bringing together engineering excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Co-presented by L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) and The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), the event will take place on February 8, 2025, at the Karnataka State Open University in Mysuru.
Illuminating 3.0 is the promise of a platform that would give voice to revolutionary conversations around technology, sustainability, and citizen empowerment. Themed Purposeful Agile Innovation, this edition aims to democratize knowledge: to make complicated engineering and technological breakthroughs accessible to everyone. This year's edition will feature landmark breakthroughs in engineering and technology, alongside the stories of the brilliant minds behind them.
Some of the notable speakers will include Srikanth Nadhamuni, Founder CTO of Aadhaar, a visionary technologist and philanthropist whose contributions in AI and Digital Public Infrastructure have transformed India's public systems, and Gayatri Chauhan, Founder and CEO of BuzzOnEarth, a leader in environmental sustainability and action. These diverse perspectives would bring valuable insights into the intersections of sustainability practices and digital innovations, reinforcing India's role as a global hub for technology-driven solutions.
Speaking about the forum, Abhishek Sinha, Executive Director & President at L&T Technology Services, expressed, “Illuminate has evolved into a vital platform for collaboration and groundbreaking innovation. This year, we’re proud to continue fostering engineering excellence and inspiring progress by tackling topics like AI, sustainability, and community-driven initiatives”.
According to Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, Principal of NIE, "We are glad to host Illuminate 3.0, which offers an unprecedented platform for technology enthusiasts, innovators, and students to engage with industry leaders and get a glimpse into the future of engineering and technology".
It has become a ritual for the years gone by where India's engineering and scientific capabilities are showcased at the event Illuminate. Previous editions have featured Padma Shri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former ISRO scientist and the 'Moon Man of India', and Sudhanshu Mani, the mastermind behind India's Vande Bharat Express trains.
Illumine 3.0 is more than an event-it is a celebration of human ingenuity, resilience, and relentless pursuit of innovation. As the forum continues to evolve, it remains a bedrock for the scientific and engineering progress of India, providing thought leaders with the platform to inspire the next generation of changemakers and innovators.
This is going to play a foundational role in moulding India's technological landscape but propel the future of global advancement and sustainability in innovative collaboration.
