Lenskart Set to Introduce AI-Enabled Smart Glasses
  • Lenskart plans to enter the smart eyewear market with AI-integrated glasses
  • Product features include UPI payments, health insights, and AR interactions
  • Launch likely after company’s market listing on November 10

Lenskart is preparing to launch its first-ever pair of AI-powered smart glasses by the end of December, signaling its move toward becoming a tech-driven lifestyle brand. Internally dubbed 'B by Lenskart Smartglasses', the wearable device will feature artificial intelligence-based interactions, health and wellness tracking, and UPI payments, according to sources close to the development.

The smart glasses are expected to hit the market just weeks after the company’s planned stock exchange listing on November 10. Pricing details are still being finalized, but the product is built on Google’s Gemini 2.5 platform and is expected to bring together AI, AR, and commerce features in a sleek form factor.

Designed to offer more than vision correction, the glasses will enable voice interactions, hands-free payments, and real-time health metrics. The device is likely powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, which supports lightweight augmented reality and advanced camera capabilities.

This move aligns with Lenskart's strategic partnership with Qualcomm, announced earlier at the Snapdragon for India XR Day in July 2025, which focuses on developing AI and AR solutions for the Indian market. The company has also made targeted investments in computer vision and extended reality startups to strengthen its tech edge.

Lenskart, currently valued at Rs 70,000 crore ($8 billion), launched a Rs 7,278 crore public issue on October 31, fully subscribed on opening day. By entering the smart eyewear space, it is set to compete with global products like Meta-Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and Amazon Echo Frames but tailored for Indian consumers in both price and design.
