Interface Of Apple's iOS: Past To Present


iOS 6

The iOS was previewed and announced on June 11th 2012 at the Apple World Wide Conference (WWDC). With this release Apple dropped support for devices like iPod Touch (3rd gen) and iPad (1st gen). iOS 6 was released to the public on September 19th 2012 over iTunes and over the air updates.

There were total 9 versions of this OS which ends at 6.1.6, the final release that supported iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch (4th gen).

iOS 7

Once again at the WWDC of 2013, iOS 7 was announced on June 10th 2013 and expected release by fall of 2013. The exact release date of iOS 7 was announced for September 10th 2013, on the same stage two new iPhones were unveiled iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Again the support for some devices was dropped and the 4th gen was in support and at the end of line. There were 11 latter versions which carried various improvements and enhancements which resulted in better devices that were high-end, seamless and fast; iOS 7.1.2 is the final release.
