New features like face scanning and interaction with wearable devices could pose a threat as they could be easily be dodged by hackers or keep the data open to leaks if a there is no approach to security strategy.

Even though youngster’s these days may be pro tech users they are quite oblivious when it comes to ‘data in the cloud’. Only time will clear uncertainties by revealing the impact of digital natives on sensitive corporate data. It is then the business that will be seen with a more drastic approach to train their younger staff about data security in hopes of developing superior digital skills.

The corporate IT environment is transforming at a fast pace thanks to the changes in consumer IT. However, even though Businesses are eager to take advantage of the benefits, they refrain as data security needs to be guarded at all times. The forthcoming law ‘EU General Data Protection Regulation’ will possibly answer a few prayers as the penalty for breaching data is far graver than what it used to be.
