Tamil superstar Rajinikanth opened his Twitter account on May 5 at 2 pm. Actor’s official handle is @SuperStarRajini. He sent out his first tweet at 3.58 pm “Salutation to the Lord. Vanakkam anaivarukkum !! A big thank you to all my fans. Excited on this digital journey.” Within no time, the mass of followers kept growing every minute. He also posted a link of a video along with his tweet in which he said that he is looking forward to interact with his fans. Currently the actor has 1.22 million followers.

The master blaster joined the micro-blogging site Twitter in 2010, his official handle is @sachin_rt. He sent a message on November 13, 2013 at 8.50 PM to his more than 4.87 million followers for supporting him for 24 years. This was on the eve of his final Test. The tweet read "I am really touched with #ThankYouSachin messages. Your support all these years have inspired me to give my best." This tweet has been retweeted more than 10,600 times, with nearly 6,400 users setting it as a favourite.
