#1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the world's second-most followed politician on Twitter, he has 8.9 million followers. According to Twitter, the most retweeted tweet in India was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's victory tweet "India has won! Bharat ki vijay, acche din aane wale hai! After BJP's win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he thanked various world leaders on Twitter when they tweeted their congratulatory messages to him. Recently, before his visit to Japan, he posted a series of tweets in Japanese.

Dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone, who played 'Leela' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, set in violent times. It is one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2013 and also one of the most awarded ones, winning three Filmfare Awards out of eight nominations. Recently, when the film completed one year, Padukone changed her Twitter handle name to Leela to celebrate the success. She tweeted ''Thank you Sir for giving me one of the greatest experiences of my life!'' She has 8.65 million follower? on twitter.
