BENGALURU: Apple just unveiled its new software with some major upgrades and features. So, what’s new on the iOS 9? What are the new added features compared to the older version? Let’s find out all the about the additions and tweaks on the newer version of the software as compiled by the TOI.

# Apple Pay

On the iOS 9, Apple pay gets a major push with lot more providers added to it. But it is only supported by the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with the Apple watch too. On the other hand, the Apple’s Payment feature on iOS 8 supports only a bunch of US bank cards, which is widened out better on the iOS 9 with the service reaching out to UK as well.

This latest new OS from Apple allows you to add store credit and debit cards with loyalty and reward cards also. All the info is stored in the “Wallet” on the iOS 9.

# Spotlight Search

Apple updates its spotlight search on the iPhone and the iPad too with much improved features and benefits from it. The improvements include app suggestions, main contacts and other information like the location will be shown on the main search page when you just swipe to the left side of the screen.

Now, there are also video results displayed on the search which can be watched without having to quit the search result page.
