Samsung Offers Free Mobile Charging Facilities in Bangalore


BENGALURU: Samsung, the electronics giant, has installed solar-power run mobile charging facilities in the city, reports Economic Times.

We are in the 21st century and have seen many discoveries that made our life easy. Not all the inventions are nature-friendly and now we are stepping towards the sustainable technology. Solar energy is considered the sustainable way of using energy resources to build new technology.

The company installed free solar mobile charging stations called Samsung smart cafes across Bengaluru. It is said that the free solar-based mobile charging facility is ‘first-of-its-kind in India’ and requires very less maintenance with a power capacity of 300 KW, which can charge over 20 mobiles per day.

Locations of free mobile charging facilities in the city are CMH Road, Indiranagar, Total Mall, Sarjapura Road, Sahakaranagar, Malleshwaram and Vijaynagar. 

The company recently announced the launch of Galaxy S6 edge+ here, priced at Rs 57,900. It will be available in the market from August 28 in a Gold Platinum and new Silver Titanium Color.

“The Galaxy S6 edge+ will be manufactured from our Noida facility to meet the demand of the Indian consumers... the Indian R&D team has been intricately involved in the development of various key features in the Galaxy S6 edge+ like the 'Live Video broadcast', People Edge, Easy share, Camera and the My Profile,” .Samsung India Vice President said media.
