Micromax Launches its Canvas Amaze 2 for Indian Consumers with 2GB RAM, and 4G LTE Support


BENGALURU: Micromax, the first Indian company to break the top-10 of mobile manufacturers as of last year, recently unveiled its new smartphone—the Canvas Amaze 2 for Indian consumers. Priced at an affordable sum of INR 7,499, the device is set to be made available exclusively via a leading e-commerce chain starting this week.

The new smartphone from Micromax, features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display screen with a pixel density of 294 PPI. The device also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 inbuilt to protect the display from scratches and blemishes. The Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, in-tandem with 2GB of RAM to ensure lag-less performance. The smartphone also comes equipped with 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded upto 64 GB via microSD card.

The Canvas Amaze 2 runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, supports dual-SIM features and comes equipped with a 13-Megapixel primary camera on the rear with LED, along with a 5-Megapixel front selfie-shooter. The device also bears support for 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, as well as Micro-USB connectivity options. The smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh Li-ion battery.

The national smartphone manufacturers launched its Canvas Selfie 4 device last month alongwith the Micromax Bolt Selfie. The Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 featured a unique combination of 8-Megapixel front as well rear cameras, and came with unique features such as the rear tap sensor. The device also sports the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
