Jugnoo Announces the Latest Auto-Rickshaw Pooling Feature
BENGALURU: Jugnoo, an auto-rickshaw aggregator app, has announced the launch of a latest feature ‘Jugnoo Pool’. This feature allows users to share their trip with other customers traveling in the similar direction. The motive of the company behind this eco-friendly initiative is to counter the problem of increasing traffic in the country. As reported by Tech2 website, the company believes that this feature will become a cost-effective solution for the customers, along with being a lucrative offer to the auto-rickshaw drivers. Even though it will make the Jugnoo ride a little bit more expensive than a public bus ride, but it provides a convenient way to travel.
Samar Singla, Founder, and CEO, Jugnoo said that the company is planning to efficiently utilize the existing resources with the help of latest technologies. Auto rickshaws are very much popular in India for daily convenience and Jugnoo is enhancing this travel mode in an economical and convenient manner. The pooling feature is a further enhancement of the services and it will provide travelers with an extra option to make their rides more economical along with providing a comfortable ride to and from their doorsteps. As commented by Mr. Singla, the idea behind the new integration is to provide customers a better experience at almost similar fair of the public bus.
The pooling feature will be launched in the cities where Jugnoo is already providing its services. The company also notified that the customers would get a discount of about 20 percent of the current rates while the auto drivers will earn about 1.5 times extra amount with the same ride. The news of auto pooling feature followed by the recently launched uberPOOL service by Uber that claims to provide a 50 percent discount on uberGO. Ola already has the same kind of the pooling system named as Ola Share that provides passengers a discount of 40 percent on the standard rates.
