Valve Technology:  The valve technology allows liquid products to be stored upside down which is being used across the globe. This technology was the invention of Paul Brown, who spent all his life savings and borrowed money from family and friends to perfect it.

He earned $13 million by licensing it out to other companies to use it. As of now, he has sold his company but could have made a lot more money if he had struck a deal for a percentage from every product sold.

Zimmer’s Violation:  The American medical technologies makers Zimmer was fined a whooping $228 million which was to be paid to Stryker, for violating copyrights over the medical system Pulsavac Plus.
