App Linking

Earlier with Android L whenever you open a link, a pop up appears asking you to open with chrome or the concerned website which is sometimes quite irritating. This feature called “Chrome Custom Tabs” has been mended and Android M will no longer ask you where to open the link, preferably you will be redirected to the website, upright.

Now on Tap

This feature is an enhancement of ‘Google Now’ making it your default assistant always providing you with necessary related Google cards based on the topic you are discussing. For ex: while chatting with a friend you mention any restaurant name in particular, a long press on the home button or the ‘Ok Google’ command activates and  then Google automatically guesses  and helps with relevant Google cards which comprise the info related to the restaurant. This feature is not limited to any particular app but is implied for every other app on your handset.
