How Not To Make Everything a Public Announcement

 

 

 

Keeping big announcements under wraps by not notifying anyone is now easy to do. Click the 'about' section and then the option 'family and relationships situated on the left. Under the relationship option you will notice a gray icon that says 'friends' 'public' and 'only me'-Click ‘only me,’ the relationship status will change accordingly and will not show as a new feed to your friends. However if someone does come to your profile and checks your relationship status they will be able to see it unless you have given private setting to it as well.

Another additional tools introduced by Facebook is the ‘security checkup' that assist users through a series of questions or checklist aimed at securing ones account thoroughly. This pertains to logging out from apps and web browsers they generally don’t use, and receiving notifications when someone logs into their account from an unfamiliar browser or device.
