Developed by the Evernote Corporation, the Evernote application is a cross platform, freemium app designed for note taking, scanning, organizing, and archiving. The app comes with an inbuilt scanner function that allows scanning of documents and cards. Users can place a widget on the Android home screen that gives quick access to the Evernote new note function. In the widget, the functions work as a Shortcut to open the Evernote app. While the Document camera scans documents and adds them to the default notebook, the ‘New note’ starts a new blank note in Evernote.
