10 Noteworthy Features Provided by Android N for Better Device Performance

1. Multi-window Support

Multi-window support is the most highlighted feature enabling two apps to run on the screen at the same time and will be available in both tablets and Smartphone’s. The feature can be accessed by tapping the recent apps menu, then sliding any app to the top. The OS will intuitively gauge and change the screen display of various apps, whereas the users will be able to resize each multi-window screen as they see fit, and better multi-task on Android.

2. Notification Bar Toggles and Quick Settings

The Android N proffers a quick settings option which toggles to the top of the notification pulldown bar. A single swipe down from the top of the home screen will pull down the notifications shade, where the expandable notifications appear. It is possible to go to the full app by tapping on the notification that appears. The Quick Settings area displays the screen brightness slider as well as toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data.  The options can be customized as per the user needs and a second swipe down expands the full "Quick Settings" menu with more options. It is now possible to respond to messages directly from within a notification; a feature that uses the same Remote Input API that Android Wear makes use of. The notifications can be stacked and when required it can be expanded using the expansion button or a two-fingered gesture, optimizing space in the notification area.
