Alcohol sensing helmets

Drink and drive has been a major cause of accidents happening in the country over the years. Thus IIT BHU students have developed an innovative alcohol sensing helmet equipped with breath analyzer. The helmet connects with the electrical system of your bike and if it senses that you're drunk, it won't let you start your bike at all. The project was among the top 5 short-listed projects at the Ericsson Innovation Awards held at IIT Delhi.

The American multinational technological company Google is an integral part of most of our lives. But one of its major services Google News is a brain child of by IIT madras alumni Krishna Barat. Google News automatically indexes over 25,000 news websites in more than 25 languages to provide a summary of the News resources. Krishna Bharat created Google News in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks to keep himself abreast of the developments.
