3. Hewlett-Packard

HP is the world's leading PC manufacturer and it specializes in developing and manufacturing computing, data storage, and networking hardware, designing software and delivering services. 15 out of the top 50 tech firms recognized HP as a worthy competitor.

Not even producing quality products but HP has earned appreciation in the area of data privacy and security. In 2013 it was the world's second-largest PC vendor by unit sales.

In its 2012 rankings of consumer electronics companies on progress relating to conflict minerals, the Enough Project rated HP 2nd out of 24 companies, calling it a "Pioneer of progress".
