These Are The Most Dangerous Computer Viruses

Stuxnet: This virus is probably one of the most dangerous ones that have hit the software world. This virus was deployed to attack the software that controlled industrial sectors and technological machineries. Stuxnet was used to take down Iran’s uranium enrichment plant and though no one took the responsibility of this attack, Iran considers America to be the one to have created the virus. It caused extensive damage to the infrastructural set up of Iran’s uranium plant and other industrial segments of the government.

Zeus: One of the most frequently attacked areas on the net is people’s personal information and for this the most used virus is Zeus. It has become the go-to-tool for most people who want to infiltrate and steal people’s personal information. When personal information lands in the hands of the wrong people, the kind of damage that can be done is unimaginable. This virus is used mostly on online retails or internet banking where personal information is required.

MyDoom: Another malware like the ILOVEYOU virus, MyDoom works by infiltrating the user’s mail book when the link is opened. This causes a change reaction every time an unsuspecting user opens their mail. It intimates victims by flooding them with information from multiple systems.

Nimda: This virus is named after spelling the word ‘Admin’ backwards. It came into existence in 2001. Nimda affects four ways, such as, through e-mails, files, server and share folders. The virus made its first attack right after the disastrous sickening 9/11 attack. It made people think that it was another attack but this time through the internet. Experts later figured that the virus is only meant to slow down internet traffic.
