This hearing aid like device can be used by women to transmit fright and fear through a phone, which in turn will trigger an emergency call. This woman safety device  designed by Cochin University of Science and Technology students is referred to as the ‘Abhaya’. The device has a neuro sensor that reads the brainwaves and heartbeats of the woman to activate the voice transmitter. There is a GPS tracker so that the endangered person can be constantly tracked.

This eye pre-screening device can detect five major eye problems: ataract, glaucoma, diabetic retina, cornea problems, and eye-lens refractive errors. It’s a great contribution for the ophthalmologists across the world. The brain product of Bengaluru techies K Chandrasekhar and Shyam Vasudev Rao, this device will save a lot of time of ophthalmologists. The cost of the machine is one fifth of price of existing machines. It is portable and can be fitted to a suitcase. It can also be connected to a PC or laptop via USB.
