Google I/O 2016: The 8 Key Announcements to Watch Out For

4. Android N

Expected to be a huge upgrade of the year, Google showed off how notifications can be responded to rather than opening an app, and multi-windowing; allows you to draft notes while watching any video, for example. It comes with more realistic emojis (72 new ones), skin tone variations. The new Android OS has better graphics, less battery consumption, storage, and security enhancements.

Android N doesn't have a name yet, but is being opened to propositions from The Internet.

5. Google Daydream

VR is a huge component of Android N, and the new Google’s VR platform is called Google Daydream. New headsets and a controller have been made available to deliver the high performance in Daydream VR. Arriving this fall, it will also include Google apps like YouTube, Google Photos, Street View, Play Movies and the Play Store.
