Google I/O 2016: The 8 Key Announcements to Watch Out For

2. Google Home

This voice-activated device brings the Google assistant to any room in your house. The Google Home will be a control centre for your house and your voice going to be the remote control. You can order an Uber, play Spotify, and even set alarms—just by speaking. Furthermore, in future, it would be able to control stuff outside your homes—opening garage doors, ordering flowers, etc. Google Home claims its voice-recognition technology to be best in class.

3. ‘Allo, Duo!

Don't have enough messaging apps? Meet Google’s new "smart" messaging app. It works like any other dozens of messaging apps but it has built in Google's AI. For example, a feature called "Smart Reply" can suggest responses when you don't wish to type or have run out of answers, now that’s something!

Duo, a companion app for Allo is quite simply Google's answer to Skype or FaceTime. Both are expected to be launched for Android and iOS in coming summer.
