CLEANit is a popular junk file cleaner app. According to its advertisements, the app will make your “Android cleaner, faster and safer than ever before”. However, the reality is that clearing the phones cache will eventually slow your phone while clearing RAM through “boost” increases the battery usage. In addition, force stopping of running apps won’t save your battery as advertised.

QuickPic

QuickPic is a very popular photo gallery app with more than 50 million downloads in Google Play. Last year the company was bought by Cheetah Mobile which created repercussions in the app’s user base. Various reports surfaced suggesting that Cheetah Mobile had started uploading users’ data into their servers. Soon after, many users ditched the app over concerns for their personal data.
