Beware! These Android Apps Can be Harmful

Many apps within the Play Store are filled with bloatwares and malwares which can steal users’ financial information or other personal data. But, here we are listing an altogether different kind of apps. Apps those are really popular among Android users although they don’t provide any benefit for you or your smartphone. Following are a list of some popular Android apps, as compiled by the Times of India, which are better off uninstalled.

Well, you might be thinking, how dare you name the most popular Android web browser as unsafe? For all its pros like faster download and data savings, the app has a teeny problem, tracking. The app is known to send unencrypted user data such as IMSI number, IMEI number, Android ID, and Wi-Fi MAC address to Alibaba analytics tool Umeng; while AMAP, an Alibaba mapping tool can access users’ geolocation data. Moreover, user search queries are leaked without encryption to Chinese search engine Shenma or Yahoo! India and Google.
