Windows 10 Installations Reaches Over 200 Mn Users Worldwide
BENGALURU: After the launch of Windows 10 in July 2015, it had surpassed 110 million installations worldwide by October. The recent report suggests the numbers have now reached over 200 million within five months of its launch, reports NDTV.
Windows 10, the desktop operating system has been made available to the general public on July 29. While the adoption rate has evidently slowed down, Windows 10 have reached 50 million install bases in just two weeks after its release. The latest operating system is available for free for Windows 8 and Windows 7 users, which is a very good reason for users to adapt to the new OS. This also means a large number of installs are coming from users of previous Windows versions. It has an improved desktop experience coupled with advanced features such as Cortana.
This 200 million mark is proud moment for Microsoft as the previous versions are not that well appreciated or adapted by many users. This also surpassed the mark of Apple’s OS X in 2014.
