Windows 10 Borrows New OS X-Like Trackpad Gestures

All of these new gestures are extremely identical to those available in OS X which could be a cause for clash. Apple's swiping up with three fingers reveals Mission Control, which is very similar to the new Task View in Windows 10. And the three fingers swiping on left and right switches between full screen applications. But this is not the first time that Apple and Windows have borrowed ideas from each other. This has been happening and we shouldn’t be surprised if it continues in future.

Microsoft has clearly increased its focus on improving the experience for power users in Windows 10. Power users account for maximum portion of the Windows user base, and thus Microsoft recognized this as its move forward with Windows 10. The new OS is set to launch at some point in 2015 and it is no secret that Microsoft desires to accommodate enterprises in particular. With power users and businesses likely to cross over, the new Trackpad gestures will go down well with both groups.

One can test these features in Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9865, which will be out soon.
