Microsoft has Edge and Mac has safari as the inbuilt browsers in the OS, yet there are third party browsers available to use across OSs.  You can get Chrome, Firefox as well as Opera for Windows and Mac. To allow seamless transition from one OS to another, make sure signing into the browser with an account when asked to do. This ensures that all your browsing history and bookmarks are synced with the new system.  The third party browsers are not dependent on the OS; therefore there shall not be any issues with the extensions or the plug in giving you a faultless performance.
