Tivolt, Tata Power Partner for Accessible Commercial EV Charging
Tivolt Electric Vehicles Private Limited, an electric vehicle initiative by the Murugappa Group and a subsidiary of TI Clean Mobility, has collaborated with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) to strengthen the charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles in India. Through this collaboration, Tivolt and TPREL look to establish a strong, accessible charging network, combining the experience of TPREL in charging solutions for EVs and Tivolt's fleet of small electric commercial vehicles that are expanding.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt, and Virendra Goyal, Head of Business Development for EV Charging at TPREL, Tivolt will install EV chargers at its dealerships, customer sites, and high-traffic public locations. This strategic collaboration ensures convenient and reliable charging options for commercial EV users.
TPREL, a leader in renewable energy and EV charging solutions, has already installed 200+ customized EV charging stations across 100+ cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This new initiative will further enhance the charging infrastructure while integrating solar energy systems to power Tivolt dealerships and customer locations. This innovative approach reduces carbon emissions and makes charging more affordable, promoting a sustainable and cost-effective shift to electric mobility.
This partnership aligns with India’s clean energy goals, emphasizing renewable solutions to drive the transition toward a greener future.
