Known as ‘C sharp’, it is a multi-paradigm programming language encompassing strong typing, imperative, declarative, functional, generic, object-oriented and component-oriented programming disciplines.

It was developed by Microsoft within its .NET initiative and later approved as a standard by Ecma and ISO, this programming language comes with a well-paid salary package of $89,074. C# is intended to be suitable for writing applications for both hosted and embedded systems, ranging from the very large that use sophisticated operating systems, to the very small having dedicated functions.

# Visual Basic

Visual Basic is a programming language and integrated development environment from Microsoft for its COM programming model first released in 1991. Microsoft planned Visual Basic to be rather easy to learn and was derived from BASIC enabling the rapid application development of graphical user interface applications with access to the databases using Data Access objects. As interesting as it sounds, it comes with an attractive pay package of $85,962 for its programmers using the language.
