South Korea's largest telecom service provider, KT Corp was attacked by the hackers and the details of its customers were released. On the positive side, the cops arrested the person responsible for the attack, a hacker named Kim. This hacker had access to bank details, employment information and home addresses of around 16 million customers.
# Indian Websites
Pakistani hackers are in news again for hacking the BJP websites of Bihar and LK Advani's personal website with that of Bangalore City Police. According to the Hindu, the hacked websites include those of Chennai Medical College Hospital and Research Centre , singer Daler Mehndi and,Mirza Faizan, member of the Global Cyber Security Response Team, Bangalore.
The hacked websites carried anti-India messages and pictures under Pakistan Zindabad headline with offensive statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The popular social media site Twitter was hacked and the names, address, social security numbers of Twitter staff members were leaked on internet. Here’s how they did it: the Twitter site was targeted with a worm which makes users tweet a self-propagating code. Because of this, the 84,700 users tweet the same message at the same time reaching millions of followers.
