TCS Launches IoT Engineering Lab in Ohio to Drive Innovative Solutions
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has unveiled a cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) engineering lab in Cincinnati, Ohio, aimed at helping clients accelerate the development of innovative solutions. The lab, which supports rapid prototyping, experimentation, and large-scale implementation of AI, GenAI, and IoT engineering, marks a significant investment by TCS in advancing digital technology capabilities in the US.
Named the 'Bringing Life to Things Lab', this facility offers a comprehensive suite of IoT solutions from TCS, tailored to serve key industries including manufacturing, energy, consumer goods, and life sciences. Amit Bajaj, President-North America at TCS, emphasized the lab’s role in bridging the gap between operational and digital technology. "This lab will help our clients quickly transform their ideas into viable products, reimagining their value chains at scale", he said.
The lab is designed to foster co-innovation through collaborative efforts, enabling clients to brainstorm and develop solutions via design thinking workshops. Regu Ayyaswamy, TCS' Global Head of IoT and Digital Engineering, highlighted that the lab will unlock the full potential of IoT, AI, and GenAI technologies, enhancing TCS's capability to support clients in their digital transformation journeys.
In addition to client-focused innovations, the lab will also support the local community's sustainability efforts through TCS Grow+, a smart gardening technology initiative aimed at promoting sustainable practices.
