Specs and Features to Expect From Smartphones in 2016
Dual Displays: The idea is to make multitasking easier, and to ensure we have crucial information instantly visible on our phones, all with a normal IPS touch screen on the front and an E-Ink touch panel on the rear. The small second screen can stay on to display weather, time and date when the main display is turned off. It will have room for frequently-used apps and can receive notifications while using the main screen to watch a video.
Li-Fi Technology: Scientists have just taken to the streets with a new wireless technology called Li-Fi, and it's 100 times faster than current speeds. The Li-Fi technology uses visible light between 400 and 800 terahertz (THz), and transmits messages through binary code, giving it in-lab speeds fast enough to download 18 movies of 1.5 GB each second. Li-Fi enhances the security of local networks (the signal is carried by optical light means that it cannot travel through walls).
