Considering the current and ever-evolving trends and requirements in the software industry, the M.Tech. Software Engineering programme from the Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division of Birla Institute of Technology &  Science (BITS), Pilani, has now been redesigned to help working professionals specialize in some of the fastest growing domains as well, such as Full Stack Engineering and Software Product Management.

This M.Tech. programme also covers a full stack of other key technologies and competencies that are required by both working professionals and organizations in the

software industry today. A comprehensive curriculum and extensive emphasis on experiential learning using remote and cloud labs enable working professionals to acquire this highly valued post graduate engineering degree from BITS Pilani, an Institute of Eminence (IoE), while continuing to pursue their careers, without a break. The programme is of four semesters, with online classes conducted mostly on the weekends or after business hours.

Learning methodology

The education delivery methodology is a blend of online classroom and experiential learning, which consists of lab exercises, assignments, case studies, and work integrated activities. These lectures can be attended via the internet using a computer from any location. These online classrooms offer similar levels of interactivity as regular classrooms at the BITS Pilani campus. The Dissertation (Project Work) in the final semester also enables students to apply concepts and techniques learnt during the programme.
