Players can travel through the Maple World, by defeating monsters and enhancing their character skills. Players can communicate with other players using chatting, trading and playing minigames. Players can join together in parties to hunt monsters and share their rewards each other.

Lineage 1 is a multiplayer online role-playing game from the South Korean developer NCsoft. NCsoft has announced that Lineage has generated $257 million revenue in microtransaction sales. This PC game features 2D isometric-overhead graphics. In this game, players can select one of seven characters such as Knight, Prince, Magician, Elf, Dark Elf Dragon Knight, or Illusionist. Prince is the only one character that can lead a blood pledge. Player versus player contest is extensive in this game. The players can indulge in fighting with other players as long as they are not in safe zone such as cities. By joining with ‘bloodpledge’ union, players can indulge in castle sieges or battles between bloodpledges.
