OnePlus Unveils its New 120Hz Fluid Display
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus announces the launch of its new display with a blazing 120Hz refresh rate, along with multiple new technologies. The company's CEO Pete Lau, states that the newly launched display would be the best smartphone display of the year 2020. It is also believed that this would be used as a display in the next smartphone series of OnePlus, with the name Deep Dive 120Hz Fluid display. The new display would offer the experience of smother playback, improved fluid OS navigation.
In May 2019, the company released OnePlus 7 Pro, after which the company overcame several challenges such as optimizing display panels and minimizing power consumption to offer the world's first 90Hz Fluid Display with QHD+ resolution.
“We believe that the smoothest smartphone display must also be able to deliver a superior visual quality and viewing comfort. We’re sure that OnePlus’s new 120Hz Fluid Display will be the best you’ll lay eyes on in 2020,” says Pete.
The new display brings the most rigorous hardware configuration in the industry, along with an ample of exciting technologies that include MEMC technology for smoother video playback. In addition, the smartphone display also features a QHD+ resolution, the prominent color accuracy and 4096-level of automatic brightness control and it provides four times of average Android flagships.
The new display's launch is scheduled exactly when Qualcomm is offering complete support for higher refresh rates in the Snapdragon 865 system on chip (SoC).
