Now Get Smartphone Notifications On Your Windows 10 Desktop

NEW YORK: Software giant Microsoft has rolled out a Windows 10 update which will enable users to get notifications from Windows 10 and Android devices directly on the desktop.

With new update, users will not only be able to see notifications as they come in but dismiss them too -- without pulling their smartphone out of their pocket, technobuffalo.com website reported on Monday.

Called notification mirroring, Microsoft announced this update during its two-day "BUILD" conference that concluded in San Francisco last weekend.

The service will work through Microsoft's Cortana app and later it will worth "through the operating system".

Microsoft has not clarified when the update would be available but it may be released on Windows 10 Anniversary Update that is pegged for a late summer release.

As far as iPhone is concerned, "Microsoft is looking into ways of implementing these features".
