New App Makes Spa, Salon Visits Convenient

MUMBAI:  A new consumer app called TAKE5 has been launched to provide an effortless experience for salon and spa goers to find, book and pay for appointments.

Zenoti, a provider of software solutions to the spa, salon and medi-spa industry, has introduced TAKE5.

"At the heart of TAKE5 is our belief that every individual deserves to take a break from their busy lives, whether it's five minutes or five hours. With TAKE5, our goal is to bring wellness and beauty, and convenience together for a happier, healthier lifestyle," Sudheer Koneru, CEO, Zenoti, said in a statement.

The app leverages a tight integration with the Zenoti platform, which is used by several luxury salons, premium salons and spas across India. The integration enables TAKE5 to provide real-time information on appointment availability at any salon or spa and accepts immediate online bookings.

Real-time bookings mean that the user gets an immediate confirmation and the customer's visit is automatically logged into the business' appointment book.

"With the launch of TAKE5, Zenoti is connecting consumers with a large network of providers," said Shekhar Kirani, partner, Accel India.

According to data, based on the Zenoti Benchmark, more than 70 percent of salon and spa visits are walk-ins.

This indicates that customers like to have the flexibility to make last minute decisions on where to go for their service. The app also supports this walk-in culture.

Essentially, it helps consumers find appointment availability in real-time at nearby salons and spas; helps users to stay educated about wellness and beauty trends and tips; aids in finding quality salons and spas based on customer reviews; and in easing the process of booking. The users can also pay upfront through the app, as well as receive exclusive offers.

TAKE5 will initially be launched in Mumbai and Hyderabad and will then expand to other major metros over the next few months. It will be free to download.
