Microsoft TechEd India: Biggest Tech Event Of 2014


BANGALORE: Learn, Connect and Explore- these are the taglines of Microsoft’s biggest technology premier event “Microsoft TechEd”. The event was successfully attended by more than 2200 engineers, developers, architects and IT Pros.  The event was organized at Lalit Ashok Hotel in Bangalore.  The event consisted of 78 technical sessions by 110 subject matter experts from Microsoft.

The tech-event covered a lot of agendas, namely Architecture, Data Platform and Business Intelligence, Datacenter and Infrastructure Management, Developer Platform and Building the next generation IoT solutions using Event Hub & Real Time Streaming on Azure.

With a wide range of learning opportunities available at TechEd, the wealth of education offered was tremendous efforts helped you to navigate the sessions and labs designed were best suited for learning according to your needs and interests.

The day 1 session on 5th November included knowledge programs such as Best practices to optimize Hyper-V deployment a Real-world Internet of Things with Microsoft Azure. A lot of detailed discussion was made on cloud media solutions using Azure Media Services. The focus of attention was built up by Nicholas Dristas, Rangarajan Srirangam and Gurucharan B.

The day 2 proved to be much more interesting as besides the intellectual machine learning for the masses and recognition of emerging CEOs that have contributed immense to Microsoft’s growth. Rahul Dominic, the 16 year old teenager of WIREDIN was awarded with a certificate and Windows 8.1 tablet. Nikhil Soman, the CEO of Playblazar was awarded with the same. Over the past 16 years he has built 5 startups in all forms of digital media.

The 2 day conference was informative, energetic and full of fun. A lot of goodies and Nokia phones were distributed among the participants through quizzes, tech games and lucky draws. To summarize it in one line, it was a worth spending your valuable time in gaining a lot of things.
