Microsoft Brings In Surface Hub, a 84-Inch Multi-Touch Display
BENGALURU: For all the Windows fans out there, here is another interesting update from the Windows 10 launch event. The Redmond Tech giant, Microsoft introduced the Surface Hub aimed at getting different things together in the conference room. Details on the cost and availability of the device are yet to be revealed, reports NDTV gadgets.
The Microsoft Surface Hub features an 84-inch display powered by an integrated Windows 10 computer. This 4K display also comes with a multi-touch and multi-pen support. On the other hand, it is used as a whiteboard in business meetings and presentations and the Surface Hub can also be used as a video conference tool as it is equipped with dual cameras, mic arrays and speakers on it. Moreover, the cameras switch on the display when the user steps closer to the screen.
Moreover, the device also has a 'one-touch meetings' feature allowing users to join and invite collaborators on video calls with a single tap. The Surface hub enables users to share slides or other information from different devices and the cloud. Finally, after the meetings are over, the user can tap the 'clear it' button to reset the Surface Hub to its default state for the next meeting. This new class of device by Microsoft also comes in a 55-inch display option.
In the course of event, Microsoft also introduced its HoloLens Goggles with the Holographic UI which covers the holograms on the real world and operates manipulative virtual objects.
