Karnataka Citizens Can Now Access Over 4,500 Services Via Mobile One
BANGALORE: Karnataka becomes the country’s first state that enables services to the citizens through a unified mobile platform from both public and private sectors. The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated these 4,500 anytime, anyhow and anywhere services via Mobile One. The platform’s launch was presided by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah and Shri Vajubhai Vala was the Hon’ble Chief Guest at the event.
Mobile One is the world’s largest multi-mode mobile governance platform with over 4500 citizen’s services. This is an open platform which can accept any service which makes it future proof. By ‘Anytime’ Mobile One means that they are available round the clock at any location in the state on any Smartphone.
Karnataka’s Mobile One is highly user friendly as it can easily be accessed by a common man. Also these services can be availed even on simple low-end phones through integrated voice response (IVR), SMS or Mobile Web, so that the common man can access these services.
Through this initiative, citizens of Karnataka can now pay utility bills, property tax, book railway and bus tickets, file income tax, m-passport, driving licenses and do many more citizen related activities with their smartphones. Over 4,500 services including G2C, B2C and G2B services can be availed by Karnataka-based citizens through this pioneering initiative.
